 Kaycee, WY

 

The town of Kaycee, population approximately 249, is deeply rooted in its western heritage and serves as the regional center of a larger ranching community. The necessities for everyday living are available in Kaycee. The Kaycee General Store offers fresh baked breads, pastries, fresh produce and a wide-selection of competitively priced grocery items, as well as dry goods such as jeans, hardware, pet and livestock supplies. In addition to the general store, Kaycee also has a post office, park, restaurants, medical clinic, excellent EMT service, hardware store, volunteer fire department, outdoor arena and community center with a fitness center, motels, gas stations, museum and a public library.

Every year Kaycee hosts the Kaycee Challenge, the 3rd largest sheep dog trial in the nation, the Deke Latham Annual PRCA Rodeo, The Powder River Art Show, local theatre productions, The Bikers Rodeo, Hole in the Wall Horseback Tours, The Hoofprints of the Past Museum History Tours and Friday Night Rodeos, as well as lots of other “community welcomed” school athletic and cultural events.
Kaycee has an excellent K-12 school system with small class sizes and a student to teacher ratio of 9:1. Kaycee students are strong competitors in both scholastic and sporting events – even when facing opponents from much larger schools.

Buffalo, Wyoming
Buffalo, population approximately 4,290, is an outstanding community nestled at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains with all the desirable amenities of a traditional rural Wyoming town. It has an excellent school system with a new middle school and high school completed in 2006, a YMCA, free outdoor swimming pool, an incredible 18-hole golf course, full service medical facilities, several banks, churches, restaurants, historic downtown with many retail stores, veterinary clinics, and a paved landing strip capable of handling small, private jets with a lighted 6,158 foot runway.

Casper, Wyoming
Casper offers all the advantages of a larger city and it serves as a central hub for Wyoming. Casper's central location has made it a focal point for regional, financial, retail, and medical services. An active downtown and various shopping malls provide residents and tourists a wide variety of shopping opportunities. The Casper Events Center, with a seating capacity of 10,000, is another major attraction that offers many entertainment opportunities. Casper is proud to host the College National Finals Rodeo in June, concerts, off Broadway plays, and a plethora of other family entertainment at the Events Center. Outdoor recreation on the North Platte River offers fishing, rafting, and kayaking. Several lakes are just a short distance away for boating, swimming, fishing, and camping. Winter skiing & snowboarding are enjoyed on Casper Mountain.

Laramie, Wyoming
Laramie has a population of 27,000 and is home to the University of Wyoming. The University is a division one school offering numerous sporting events, cultural events and the atmosphere of a large university town. There are excellent restaurants and cafes, as well as many venues providing nightly entertainment. In addition to easy access to the Medicine Bow National Forest, Laramie provides a variety of outdoor opportunities in the nearby Vedawoo National Park. Saratoga and prestigious the Old Baldy Golf Club is 45 minutes away and 2 ½ hours away is the outstanding ski resort of Steamboat Springs. Denver Colorado is just 2 hours south on I-25 and provides all the amenities, shopping and entertainment of a metropolitan city.

Sheridan, Wyoming

Sheridan is home to approximately 15, 804 people and sits at the base of the Big Horn Mountains.  Sheridan is small western town full of history with many shopping and entertainment opportunities in the beautiful and historic downtown area.  Visitors and residents are also able to enjoy the beautiful outdoors with some of the best hunting, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling in the surrounding area.  Sheridan offers everything a wester town could offer.
