Posted on: Nov 10, 2017

Later this month, on November 21st, there will be an informal meeting at 10am at the Pinedale Library in Pinedale, Wyoming to answer questions related to the recently released Request for Proposals for the Pilot System Water Conservation Program in the Upper Colorado River Basin.

The Pilot System Water Conservation Program, an initiative of the Upper Colorado River Commission (UCRC), is designed to develop and test tools that could possibility be used as a contingency plan to help protect water within the Colorado River basin. The RFP is for consideration of projects to be implemented in 2018 in the Green and Little Snake River basins.

Funding for the programs awarded comes from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and major water providers that depend on Colorado River Basin supplies.

The application can be found here. Applications are due December 1st, 2017. The UCRC and Funding Partners plan to provide an initial response to project proposals by mid-February 2018.
