Economics of the Working Wild
Western Landowners Alliance folks at Oxbow Cattle Company

Last week our Montana sales agent, Kelly Beevers, attended the Western Landowners Alliance’s Economics of the Working Wild seminar in Missoula, Montana.

The event brought together landowners from New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, California, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana to discuss what’s needed to financially and ecologically sustain the working wild in the American West. The group also learned about the Working Lands for Wildlife program and talked about the future of the Farm Bill and how it is applied to western lands in particular.

After a full day of presentations and facilitated discussions, Oxbow Cattle Company hosted participants at their working ranch just outside of Missoula.

Western Landowners Alliance advances policies and practices that sustain working lands, connected landscapes, and native species. We are thankful for organizations like Western Landowners Alliance. With them, together we can all better steward and sustain these wild western places that we love.
