Ranch Videos--How to Sell Your Ranch

Selling a ranch is not as easy as simply putting your property directly on the market. If you have managed your ranch or land carefully then the transition to selling may be easier, however utilizing a professional to carefully assess land is helpful. Potential problems such as cleanup or environmental issues should be dealt with prior to listing; this allows buyers see your property at its highest value.

Hiring a ranch broker that is knowledgeable of the comparable sales in the area and is well voiced in current economics plays an important role in how your property will be marketed. Rotational Grazing

Rotational grazing is in essence a systematic way to move herds; with the intent being maximizing fresh pasture while allowing for others to recover and increase productivity.

Rotational grazing is a beneficial way to manage your grassland. We found a brochure by Penn State's Agriculture department to be very helpful. In it they state "Using your land resources to develop a pasture system that fits in with your total animal, forage, and crop program is an important first step in pasture management. A major goal is to provide quality pasture for the grazing animals throughout the grazing season." The brochure also provides information to help attain rotational grazing goals.
